With roots in the Delaware Bay region it’s no surprise that Sarah found her way back here after her medical training in Florida to serve the Delaware community. Sarah finds it to be an honor to serve not only those who travel here to enjoy all the area has to offer but also those people who have always called this wonderful place home.

Sarah’s education started a stone’s throw from Atracare at Delaware Technical Community College, Georgetown, where she obtained an Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, going on to finish her undergraduate studies at University of Delaware. After working behind the scenes in a medical microbiology laboratory for a time, Sarah knew that she needed a more personal connection to the patients she was helping and decided to pursue a career as a physician assistant. At Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers Florida, where Sarah completed her Physician Assistant degree she participated in community outreaches and free clinics which helped to care for the medically underserved of the area. She graduated with experience in pediatric emergency medicine, radiation oncology, GYN surgery and obstetrics, internal medicine, rural general surgery and family medicine. Here she was able to hone skills such as splinting and suturing. Sarah’s love for acute care drew her to urgent care and Atracare, but the caring environment, state of the art facility and approach to patient care is what keeps her dedicated to her position here at Atracare.

Sarah sees urgent care medicine as a first line of healthcare for the community, a place where we can do everything in our power to help get you back to health as soon as possible but also pick up on things that may need further evaluation.

In her free time, Sarah can be found reading, beachcombing, and hiking with her husband.
