After witnessing and experiencing firsthand how a lack of primary care services can impact overall health at a young age, I knew I wanted to work in healthcare to be part of the change that would increase access to primary care services.

When I made the decision to go into healthcare, I made a commitment to lifelong learning. This commitment is increasingly crucial, as a constant spirit of inquiry and learning improves care quality and ensures the best possible outcomes for patients. In pursuit of this commitment, I furthered my education not only by earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a concentration in primary care/internal medicine, but I also completed a rigorous primary care residency program that focused on easing the transition into practice through didactic learning and hands-on clinical opportunities that equip providers with the skills and tools needed to be competent, confident, and well-rounded.

I have also had the pleasure and honor of working as a primary care provider for the United States Department of Veteran Affairs. In this role, I managed and evaluated many Veterans with complex and multiple comorbidities including but not limited to hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, kidney disease, liver disease, thyroid disease, pain, mental health, and cardiovascular disease.

My journey prior to becoming a primary care provider includes a variety of clinical experience in different settings including hospitals, long term care/skilled nursing facilities, correctional facilities, and inpatient rehabilitation.

I am beyond grateful and honored to join the Atracare team as a primary care provider. It is truly an honor to be able to dedicate my career to providing primary care services, thus increasing healthcare access.

I was born in New York and raised in Pennsylvania. I am one of five children (middle child). I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I grew up in a multi-cultural, South American and Caribbean home. In my free time, I love to go to the beach and spend time with my family. Some of my hobbies include Muay Thai, dance (bachata and salsa), playing piano, and reading. I also love cats!
