Atracare Health Offers COVID Testing Options

Walk-in or Schedule an Appointment.  Stop by any time.

We offer COVID testing to all patients.  Whether as a travel requirement or for patients feeling under the weather, we get patients answers right away.

What type of testing does Atracare offer?

Atracare Health offers BD COVID Antigen Tests.  Antigen testing is covered by insurance companies and results are both accurate and obtainable the same day in most cases.  PCR testing is no longer covered for most Urgent Care or Walk-In visits.

PCR Testing is available for pediatric and primary care patients when clinically appropriate.

What if I need a test for travel?

Costs for our PCR test out-of-pocket is $195.  Patients must pay for the test at the time of service.  You can also review all of our pricing for medical treatment online at our Self-Pay Page.

We also offer the Antigen Test for travel as well.  That is frequently called a “Rapid Test” or a “Rapid Antigen Test”.  The cost for the Antigen Test is $75 out-of-pocket.

What kind of laboratory is the test run in?

Our Rapid COVID-19 testing is done in our CLIA-waived laboratory.  To help ensure you get all the information needed, we include our CLIA number on all test results.

How can I get my results?

Results are published via the patient portal.  Setting this up ahead of time will help to expedite the retrieval of your results.  We recommend setting it up when you register or inquiring at our front desk if you experience difficulty with the registration.  As always, please reach out to us via text at 302-517-1385 if you need additional assistance.  We are here 8AM to 8PM to help.

Patients may also wait for a paper copy of their results or return later to pick it up.

For Symptoms and Exposure Patients:

What should I do if I’m exposed?

If you were exposed, wear a well-fitting mask when around others for 10 days following exposure.  Carefully monitor for any symptoms of COVID during the 10 days following exposure.

What if I symptoms?

If you have symptoms, we would like a provider to see you right away.  We have clinicians examine symptomatic patients so that we make sure you’re safe but also to prescribe the proper test that is best indicated for your symptoms/presentation.  Not all symptoms are COVID-related.  Seeing a provider allows them to properly diagnose your condition.

Exposure to COVID and Testing

What qualifies as an exposure?

You were within 6 feet of someone with COVID for 15 minutes or more over a 24 hour period (people can be infectious 2 days before they were sick, while they were sick or if they never developed symptoms, 2 days before they test positive and up to 10 days after).

You gave care to someone with COVID at home.

You hugged or kissed someone with COVID.

You shared eating or drinking utensils.

You were coughed or sneezed on.
