Ann Regacho, LCSW

Ann Regacho is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping adults meet their goals. Originally from Maryland, Ann earned the Bachelor of Social Work degree from Frostburg State University then went on to work for Johns Hopkins Health Systems, learning therapeutic interventions from the best of the best. As time marched on, Ann made the decision to leave the city and make Coastal Delaware her full time home and has never looked back. Ann earned the Masters in Social Work from Widener University and has vast experience working with adults moving through different stages of life. Ann utilizes a holistic approach to therapy incorporating mindfulness of all life stressors individually to each client, which may be affecting their physical, emotional and psychological state.

“Life can be challenging when changes are upon us, be it a new baby, a new relationship, a new job, grieving a loved one, moving and being new to the area or just not feeling optimistic in general. Events from our childhood or past will influence our thoughts, beliefs and patterns throughout our life. At times, we need to take a closer look, in order to break old habits and patterns and develop new, healthier ways of working through stress, anxiety and past trauma. I work to assist in teasing through the internal dialogue that may not accurately depict the powerful person you are! My approach is client centered keeping you and your goals as my priority. I use Motivational Interviewing (empowerment), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a therapeutic intervention utilized to unpack and treat historical trauma in a safe environment). Most importantly, I work to establish a therapeutic relationship through validating your story with compassion and empathy. I also have experience leading small group therapy for many different groups from leading a grief support group for seniors to leading a support group for post partum women. My experience has helped many clients rewrite the narrative and live a much happier life!”

Ann is curious, and can be found walking around her community exploring new neighborhoods in the mornings, and striking up conversation with whomever is outside and crosses her path. Ann enjoys thrifting, finding a deal on a beautiful piece of pottery for a plant, enjoying a warm cinnamon scented candle while listening to a great Mel Robbins podcast, and hanging out with family and friends. Ann finds nature rejuvenating and enjoys planting a hibiscus garden every summer, noting that every day is a new bloom which is a reminder that every day is a new beginning to something beautiful.
