Office Visits and Physicals

Getting a routine physical is a very important part of preventative healthcare. Healthy adults younger than 50 should come in for a physical every three years. If you are over fifty, you should have a check-up each year. Children should see a pediatrician for a wellness exam annually. We offer adult and pediatric wellness exams at Atracare so you and your family can stay healthy.

Walk-In Procedures

Injuries happen, but you don’t have to waste time and money at the ER to get the care you need. In the Atracare walk-in clinic, we can remove debris from your eyes, stitch up a laceration, give you an IV, care for a burn, remove warts, clean your ears and more. While emergency room visits can be necessary sometimes, minor injuries can be treated right in our office for a fraction of the cost. We will have you in and out of our clinic in no time, so you don’t have to spend hours in the waiting room.

X-Rays

If you fell, have unexplained pain, or your child swallowed something, getting an x-ray allows us to pinpoint the issue, make an accurate diagnosis, and administer the best treatment. We can perform x-rays in-house, so you don’t have to go to the hospital. Coming into our urgent care clinic for an x-ray will be less expensive and much quicker than going to the emergency room.

In-House Labs

When you come to Atracare, we can perform in-house lab work to diagnose pregnancy, urinary tract infections, strep throat, and the flu. We can also evaluate your urine, perform a lipid panel, and get a CBC count to garner information about your health and make accurate diagnoses. If you come into our clinic for care, you won’t have to waste time traveling to a different location to get labs done. We want you to feel better as soon as possible, so we can perform your lab work onsite to save time and eliminate any extra stress for you.

Supplies

Sometimes after a visit, we may need to send you home with extra bandages, a splint, a sling, a set of crutches, or some other medical supplies to aid in your recovery. We have the cost before insurance of these items listed on the self-pay page so you know how much you can expect to pay when you get treated at Atracare.

Travel and Vaccines

Getting the proper vaccines to prevent diseases is a crucial part of preventative healthcare. When you are planning a trip, getting the necessary travel vaccines could save your life. We want all of our patients to be as healthy as possible, so we offer regular vaccinations and some travel vaccines. Whether you need a yearly flu shot or need to bring your child in for their boosters, we are here to provide you and your family with the vaccines you need to avoid preventable diseases.

Injections and Administrations

Allergies, allergic reactions, and inflammation need to be treated quickly. We have injections available such as epinephrine, Benadryl, solumedrol, and others to calm irritated skin, control allergies, boost your B-12, and more.  When you come into Atracare, we make it a priority to get you seen as quickly as possible so you can feel better faster.

Treating Cold and Flu Symptoms at Home: What You Can Do to Feel Better

This article explains how most healthy people can manage cold/flu symptoms at home using over-the-counter medicines and supportive care. It breaks down what helps specific symptoms—acetaminophen or ibuprofen for fever and aches, decongestants for congestion (with cautions about blood pressure and rebound congestion), antihistamines for runny nose/sneezing, and cough suppressants or expectorants depending on the cough type—plus soothing options for sore throat like lozenges, warm liquids, saltwater gargles, and honey (for ages 1+). It warns against doubling up on the same active ingredients (especially acetaminophen in multi-symptom products like DayQuil/NyQuil) and encourages asking a pharmacist if unsure. It also lists emergency symptoms and high-risk groups who should seek medical advice, and emphasizes rest, fluids, humidifier use, and sleep as key to recovery.
