Atracare Welcomes Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician Dr. Scott Milstein

Experienced family medicine physician brings more than three decades of primary care and chronic disease management experience to Atracare.

Atracare is expanding its primary care team with the addition of Scott M. Milstein, DO, a board-certified family medicine physician with more than three decades of experience caring for adult patients.

Dr. Milstein brings extensive experience in comprehensive primary care, with particular interests in chronic disease management, preventive medicine, and the treatment of acute illnesses. His areas of focus include hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, routine physicals, and Medicare wellness visits.

Dr. Milstein earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine, now Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his osteopathic internship and family medicine residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey. He is board-certified in family medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Milstein has worked in both health system and independent practice settings. He previously operated Milstein Medical Group as a solo family medicine practice before merging the practice with Allegheny Health Network. Prior to relocating to Sussex County, he also provided primary care services to veterans through Valor Healthcare.

Dr. Milstein’s approach to primary care emphasizes prevention, long-term health management, and encouraging patients to take an active role in their overall health and well-being. His experience managing common adult health concerns aligns closely with Atracare’s goal of providing accessible, comprehensive primary care for the growing Sussex County community.

The addition of Dr. Milstein further strengthens Atracare’s expanding network of healthcare services, connecting patients with primary care as well as urgent care, pediatrics, mental health, gynecology, general surgery, and other medical services through one local healthcare organization.
