Sick Child Visits – Pediatric Care in Lewes, Delaware

When Should I Take My Child to the Doctor?

As a parent, it’s heartbreaking and worrisome when your little one doesn’t feel well. You know your child better than anyone else, and you may be able to tell they aren’t feeling well before they tell you they are hurting. Some children can get up to ten colds a year, and it is considered perfectly normal. However, it can be tough to determine whether your child needs to see a doctor.

If your child is experiencing fevers, vomiting, ear pain, cold symptoms, sore throat it’s important to see a pediatrician as soon as possible. These symptoms are usually signs of non-urgent issues that can be handled during office hours. Be sure to tell your child’s doctor about any preexisting conditions like allergies and asthma.
