The Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) released the 2024 Burden of Chronic Disease in Delaware report, detailing the prevalence and impact of chronic diseases like heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Chronic diseases account for seven of the top ten causes of death in Delaware, affecting tens of thousands and costing billions annually. Key findings highlight racial inequities and the stable or increasing prevalence and mortality rates for various conditions.
