Dr. Maria Childers-Reed Awarded Best Pediatrician by Coastal Style Magazine

Coastal Style is a lifestyle magazine that is heavily focused on the Eastern Coast, and it is an honor to learn that our very own Dr. Maria Childers-Reed has been awarded Best Pediatrician from Coastal Style. Dr. Childers is constantly working to help as many children and families as possible, and this drive for wellness and improvement in the health of her patients has been recognized through her receiving this award.

Dr. Maria Childers-Reed never anticipated that her staff would swiftly expand to four providers and five medical assistants when she originally launched her pediatric practice under the Atracare brand. Her main goal had always been to give the finest treatment she could to as many children as she could, but as her reputation grew, so did demand, and her increased staff size reflects this.

Dr. Childers-Reed, who is in her second year of business, has strengthened her dedication to her patients by working to provide ancillary services like Lactation Consulting, Mental Health, and Postpartum Depression to families because she thinks that “patients need a central home for medical services that allows them to understand and control their well-being,” says Childers-Reed. “Patients tell us that they appreciate how easy it is to get seen, and they leave our office with a sense of relief after having their questions answered. The satisfaction our patients get from their care is what drives my perennial passion for medicine.”

When Jaclyn Lewis, FNP-BC, and Kimberly Emmerick, FNP-C, join her and Dr. Katherine Lewis at their Lewes location this autumn, Dr. Childers-Reed said she is excited about the knowledge that they will bring to the team.

During a trip with his family, Dr. Childers fell in love with Coastal Delaware, and in 2011 she moved to Lewes. She worked with Aspira Health to build a cutting-edge pediatric clinic after years of working in the Cape area, with the intention of providing our local kids with highly skilled and modern medical treatment. Her patients will benefit from the convenience of a “one-stop shop” as a result of her distinctive medical practice, where we will handle everything from normal in-house lab tests and x-ray imaging to the distribution of frequently used drugs and antibiotics.

Will we still access our patient portal via Athena?

I am very excited to see all the new locations! We love Aspira and all the medical crew at the Lewes location. Now we will have one right across the street and with expanded services! Thank you for all your excellent medical care to our community.
